Frequently asked questions

Below are some of the most frequestly asked questions we get. If you don't find the answer to your question here, please feel free to contact Founder Rich Groblewski. You will find his contact information on the Contact page.

01

How big does a garden have to be to be included in the garden walk?

Size does not matter in the garden walk. It can be as big as your yard, or as small as a window planter. We are not here to judge garden sizes. If you are proud of your garden and want to let other people enjoy it, we welcome you to join. Entry forms must be in by June 1, 2014 to be included in this years walk.

02

How much does it cost to have my garden on the walk?

There is no fee to add your garden on the walk. Just fill out the entry form, send to to Rich Groblewski (rggardenguy@aol.com) by June 1, 2014 and your address will be added to the map of gardens.

I want to visit the gardens, but I can't manage hilly yards, how will I know what gardens are easily accessable?

The map of garden addresses also inclides a description of the garden and will mention if the garden is on unlevel ground. But this is only a loose guide. Once you get to the garden adress, you will have to assess the situation to your ability.

Do I have to live in the Village of Lancaster to be in the garden walk?

To have your garden on the Lancaster Garden Walk, you can live in the village or town of Lancaster. To visit the gardens during the walk, anyone from any village, town, city, state or country is invited. Just abide by the hours of operation and be courteous to the garden owners.

05

Can I bring my dog on the garden walk?

Unless it is a guide or service dog, please leave the pets home.
